Membership
- Must be above 18 years of age.
- Be a resident of Botswana, whether corporate or otherwise.
- Be interested in tobacco control activities.
- Have no connection, paid or unpaid with any section of the tobacco industry or any related party.
- Observe the rules of ATN and performs duties entrusted to him/her by the ATN .
- Pays the registration and annual subscription fees at an amount fixed by the AGM.
- Any person who meets ATN standard descriptions requirements, shall be eligible for full membership of ATN.
- Shall pay a registration fee of P50 and annual subscription fees of P250 as determined by the AGM.
- Shall be open to any person who meets ATN standard requirements.
- Shall pay a one-time fee of P2,500.00.
- Shall be open to any student who meets ATN standard requirements.
- Shall pay registration fee of P25 and an annual subscription fee of P125 as determined by AGM.
- Shall be conferred by the Board of Directors from time to time to any person who meets the requirements mentioned in Article 8 and one that has made exemplary contribution to ATN.
- Honorary Members shall be entitled to attend and speak in all meetings of ATN but will have no voting rights.
- Such members are exempted from payment of all forms of membership or annual subscription fees, but can make other contributions if they so desire.
- Shall not hold any executive office post or have voting rights.
- Shall be open to supporting organizations that meet ATN standard membership requirements, subject to approval by the Board of Directors and, those that subscribe to the policies and activities of ATN and supports it financially, upon payment of a corporate membership, registration fee of P250 and annual subscription fees of P2000 as determined by AGM.
- Shall include any person who meets the requirements in, and, one who provides significant contribution to ATN to enable it to undertake its activities, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.
- Shall not hold any executive office post or have voting rights.
- The subscription shall be due and payable on 30 April each year. If any member fails to pay his/her annual subscription within a month of it falling due and payable, the treasurer shall immediately notify the member concerned of non-payment and if the sum is not paid within a month of such notification, the member shall cease to be a member of ATN unless the member explains his default to treasure and satisfaction.
- The proposed fees are liable to change in accordance with prevailing financial conditions of Chairman of the membership committee.
