Join Membership
ANT Membership Criterion
- Must be above 18 years of age
- Be a resident of Botswana, whether corporate or otherwise
- Be interested in tobacco control activities
- Have no connection, paid or unpaid with any section of the tobacco industry or any related party
- Observe the rules of ATN and performs duties entrusted to him/her by the ATN
- Pays the registration and annual subscription fees at an amount fixed by the AGM
Full Member
- Any person who meets membership criterion
- Shall be eligible for full membership of ATN
- Shall pay a registration fee of P50.00 and an annual subscription fee of P250.00
Life Member
- Shall be open to any person who meets membership criterion
- Shall pay a one-time fee of P2,500.00
Student Member
- Shall be open to any student who meets the criterion
- Shall pay a registration fee of P25.00 and an annual subscription fee of P125.00
Honorary Membership
- Shall be conferred by the Board of Directors from time to time to any person who meets the criterion
- Must be one that has made exemplary contribution to ATN
- Honorary Members shall be entitled to attend and speak in all meetings of ATN but will have no voting rights
- Such members are exempted from payment of all forms of membership or annual subscription fees, but can make other contributions if they so desire
Corporate Membership
- Shall be open to supporting organizations that meet the criterion and is subject to approval by the Board of Directors and, those that subscribe to the policies and activities of ATN and support it
- Financially, upon payment of a corporate membership fee of P250.00 and an annual subscription fee of P1000.00
Support Member
Shall include any person who meets the following requirements.
- Must be above 18 years of age
- Be a resident of Botswana, whether corporate or otherwise
- Be interested in tobacco control activities
- Have no connection, paid or unpaid with any section of the tobacco industry or any related party
- Observe the rules of ATN and performs duties entrusted to him/her by the ATN
- The membership categories defined (Honorary member, Student member, Corporate and support Member) shall not hold any executive office post or have voting rights.
PAYMENT OF SUBSCRIPTION FEES
- The subscription shall be due and payable on 30 April each year. If any member fails to pay his/her annual subscription within a month of it falling due and payable, the treasurer shall immediately notify the member concerned of non-payment and if the sum is not paid within a month of such notification, the member shall cease to be a member of ATN unless the member explains his default to treasure and satisfaction.
- The proposed fees are liable to change in accordance with prevailing financial conditions of Chairman of the membership committee.
